Hip hop meets blue grass - this week three of our Artists in Residence joined us in the studio to share some of their newest work.  Poet, hip hop artist and playwright, Idris Goodwin brought in four songs off his new album, Break Beat Poems, due to be released February 2 by SGE Records.  And Katie Burnes (cello) and Nicole Upchurch (banjo/vocals) of the Awful Purdies played a new song, still untitled.  Then, in the spirit of new work never heard before, we asked Nicole and Katie to provide a beat that Idris could freestyle over - click on the link to hear what they came up with.
